I'm pretty sure someone else said it but you really did have to be there when Yuri on Ice aired in 2016. Tumblr was going nuts for this show. I'm pretty sure we broke Tumblr and Crunchyroll from the sheer force of fans trying to see and talk about the finale.

Not to mention that it was 2016, and canon queer characters were incredibly few and far between. It was a recipe for a massive fandom.

(Yeah, there were people who insisted up and down that Yuri and Victor never canonically kissed on the ice because they didn't make on screen lip contact, which was incredibly stupid logic. There was definite homophobia going on regarding if it was Canon Queer or queerbaiting/'fujoshi bait'. But it was so important for people who, perhaps, never thought they'd get anything close to canon queer characters, or at least not in a show like Yuri on Ice.)

Anyway, RIP Ice Adolescence. We'll always hold this series in our hearts.

So Hawks made number four in the BNHA popularity poll this year. Pretty cool for a new character who was introduced just this year, but made more amusing by the fact that this echoes the fact that Hawks, in series, managed to get into the top ten heroes within a year of his graduating from high school and opening his own agency.

 And I can understand why Chloe did what she did in QW? She was desperate for her mothers approval, especially after Audrey expressed more interest in Marinette’s fashion design, and used the most drastic means she had. I don’t like the actions she took, not at all, and I do feel that this isn’t helping her case with the redemption, but I can understand it. Maybe Maledictator can resolve this when it airs.

 I can’t get over Toshinori clinging to his injured side on seeing what the Noumu did to Endeavor. He knows first hand what massive injuries can do to one’s hero career. Even if Endeavor lives, he knows he’s going to be recovering a while.

Random thought of the day: What if Momiji is a foil to Sera? In the latest file, it’s implied Momiji has some capability as a detective, if Iori’s words about her deductive capabilities being regular are to be trusted. The foilishness comes in when you start comparing the two. Momiji seems to be more obviously feminine in contrast to Sera’s more androgynous appearance, and while Momiji seems content watching Heiji through news reports and sending her butler after him, Sera tends to just directly approach Shinichi/Conan to talk to him.
On another note, it feels like Gosho’s trying to use both to make love triangles. Momiji directly states that Heiji is her future partner due to him apparently proposing to her when they were younger, while it’s very heavily implied Sera has some form of feelings towards Shinichi due to their childhood meeting.
