Icarus Parallel Options
Jul. 19th, 2018 10:39 amOption One: Hawks is the Icarus parallel; he’s number two behind Endeavour the Fire Quirk hero, his own quirk is Wings that Fall Apart with Use, and he sacrificed his flight feathers to support Endeavour, thus grounding him.
On the other hand, Hawks himself stated he’d rather have a lower rank than number two, and he mainly provided support for Endeavour during the fight to prove the guy as a true successor to All Might. And didn’t the Icarus myth involve a guy named Daedalus, who made the wings, much like Hawks helped make wings for Endeavour?
Option Two: Horikoshi tricked us, and Endeavour was the true Icarus parallel. He finally got the number one spot, thus putting him in the sun. Again, the flaming wings that burned away during the fight with the Noumu, along with his severe injuries during the fight. And Dabi, another Fire Quirk user, has just shown up, ready to potentially reveal Endeavour’s abusive history assuming he’s the missing Todoroki brother and bring Endeavour’s reputation crashing down.
Option Three: They’re both Icarus, they’re both crashing down.

I can’t get over Toshinori clinging to his injured side on seeing what the Noumu did to Endeavor. He knows first hand what massive injuries can do to one’s hero career. Even if Endeavor lives, he knows he’s going to be recovering a while.
