electric_challenge (Stage 10: Adaptations)

I think I have to go the easy way out here with the Pokemon anime. It’s nostalgic, and was my first and only experience with the Pokemon series for a long time. I still have really fond memories of watching both the YTV airings and the Kids WB airings back in the 2000s, and recall a mixed grabbag of episodes ranging from Kanto straight through to the Hoenn part of the series.

I also like the Detective Pikachu movie quite a bit. There was so much room for the CGI to go wrong, but I think it was handled really well and struck a good balance between maintaining the Pokemon designs and making them fit into the scenes.

I watched a little of it when it was airing first, but I think I would say I would be more interested in the adventures of the Team Rocket Trio now.
