2020 hitting me right in the childhood
The last couple days have been a ride, nostalgia wise.
First I found out that Jason Davis, the voice behind Mikey from Recess, died back in February from an overdose. Recess was my favourite show growing up, so that was a bit of an unpleasant surprise to find out.
Then I found out that Upper Clements Park in Nova Scotia got bought out to build a private school. That was a rough realization, since I went to the park on school field trips. I think my favourite rides at the park were the roller coaster and the log flume. Apparently the log flume was actually first built for Expo 86 in Vancouver, and was shipped to Nova Scotia after the expo.
Shame the park had to be bought out, I had fun there.
Incidentally, I stubbed my toe pretty hard a few days ago. There was blood, and the nail ended up coming off, but it seems to be healing now. Hopefully the nail will grow back soon.
